Patience was born March 31, 2000. She has always loved music and everything that goes with it. As a child, Patience was constantly dancing and singing. She did pretty much any sport her parents would allow; from softball to gymnastics and she finally fell in love with cheerleading. She was a part of the Pulaski County Middle School Cheer team cheering for basketball, football, and competition team. This continued throughout high school excluding the basketball cheer team. During her time on the Hawkinsville High School Competition team, the team won first place at many competitions including Sectionals. They placed in the top 3 at GHSA state competition three of the four years she was on the team. Approaching the end of her senior season, Patience got accepted to Georgia College and State University. After a little research on the cheer team there, she realized that she may not have to hang up her cheer shoes yet! She graduated High School with a 3.7 GPA as an Honor Graduate on May 19^th, 2018. The very next day she drove to Milledgeville for Collegiate cheer tryouts! Later that night she found out that she was indeed going to be a GCSU Bobcat Cheerleader. She cheered there for a year and a half while majoring in Exercise science with a sports medicine concentration.

The summer following graduation, Patience was asked to help choreograph the routine for the middle school team at PCMS. When she wasn’t preparing for collegiate team, she spent her summer at practices helping the middle school team prepare for the competition season ahead. The next summer she took on the community coach responsibilities, falling in love with the sport all over again in a whole new way. She continued coaching the team for three years.

Life took some crazy unexpected turns in 2019 and 2020 for everyone. Patience found peace and joy in the Lord during those times. While she was no longer a cheerleader herself, she continued to coach and teach. She began working in the nursery at Revive Fellowship Ministries and volunteering in the children’s church; realizing that helping kids express themselves in healthy ways is her calling. Patience has a servant’s heart, so as many in her generation do, she found a job working in the restaurant industry. Talking to new people every day and making sure that they have at least one bright interaction fulfills part of her heart. She was constantly praying for a way to get to work with children more than just Sundays without having to work for the school system. She then received a text from Christy looking for a teacher for the cheer dance classes for the next season. Everything fell into place after that, schedules aligned, and it was obvious to Patience that this is where she needs to be.

“I can’t wait to see the children grow and fall in love with dance. There is so much for me to learn when it comes to dance but I know that this is the start of something great!”
